A close acquaintance of the Royal Family passes away.

The Prince and Princess of Wales expressed their sincere sympathies for the death of 47-year-old Peter Morris, the proprietor of Little Dragon Pizza and father of two. Morris passed away from cancer.

Morris was first introduced to the royal family in 2023 when they visited Dowlais Rugby Club in Merthyr Tydfil and purchased 12 pizzas from him for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.

“We can only begin to imagine what an immense hole he will leave in your life and my heart goes out to you and your family,” Kate and William wrote in a letter to his wife Tracey upon learning of his loss.

Morris had fought and won a fight against oesophageal cancer, but regrettably, he was subsequently found to have liver and adrenal gland cancer.

About four months after meeting William and Kate, he got the news. At his burial, their letter expressing their grief and sympathies was read.
