After experiencing many seizures, David writes on Facebook that “the majority of her brain was unmistakably, seriously, critically, and without the life-sustaining measures in place, TERMINALLY damaged.” This resulted in “severe brain swelling.”
There were no discussions on life quality or similar topics. It was only a matter of life or death!
Medical personnel worked nonstop, but Hannah’s brain was severely damaged, and there was little chance that she would recover. “A never-ending stroll”
Prior to her last farewell on November 10, 2024, Hannah received a heartfelt homage during a customary “Honor Walk” before being brought to the surgery room to donate her organs.
Her family walked behind her till their “final goodbye,” with over 300 people lining the hallway’s walls. “It felt like a never-ending walk, but it was moving too fast,” David said.
“It’s nice to have her home.” Hannah’s cremated remains were picked up by us. It was and remains an odd mixture of feelings. In a Facebook post dated November 22, 2024, David states,
