A contestant for Miss Universe Reacts After Being Body Shamed

She tried to dispel any incorrect presumptions her detractors could have made. She said that they were unaware of her past.

Garrett clarified that she was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a condition in which a woman’s production of male sex hormones is elevated.

Weight gain, acne, excessive body hair, and irregular periods are all consequences of PCOS.

Garrett claimed that this illness has caused her to gain weight and made a joke about how she can gain a few pounds simply by glancing at a piece of cake.

Garrett explained that she needed to “learn how to have a positive mindset” once more after her self-esteem plummeted.

“Believing that I wasn’t good enough or beautiful enough has also really taken a toll on my mental health and my self-esteem,” she said.
