After her mother’s boyfriend stomped the two-year-old daughter to death, a wicked pair kept her dead in the bathtub for days.
When Chelsea Gleason-Mitchell started dating Scott Jeff, prosecutor Sally Howes KC said that tiny Isabella Wheildon was a “healthy, contented, well-cared for little girl” before she endured horrific torture.
On June 30 of last year, the corpse of the little girl, who unfortunately perished in an Ipswich temporary housing unit, was discovered.
During her murder trial, jurors at Ipswich Crown Court heard that she had been dead for a few days before her corpse was discovered in a shower, beneath blankets.
“Extensive external traumatic injuries to the soft tissues of the body including head, neck, torso, limbs” were among the ailments she sustained.
Gleason-Mitchell “stood back, watched, did nothing and allowed this to happen” despite regular “stomping or kicking” injuries to her pelvic.
