According to Ocala News, she was taken into custody in November on suspicion of sexually assaulting a minor.
Several of the teen’s relatives had tried to dissuade him from telling the police what had transpired, according to the arrest report.
Von Yates entered a not guilty plea in court last December; according to the publication, her trial has been postponed.
In a decision issued this week, her medical license was most recently suspended. The judge stated that because nurses are trusted, it is essential that they exhibit sound judgment and moral integrity.
“Ms. Yates lacks the sound judgment and moral character required to be a registered nurse, as evidenced by her decision to have sex with a minor child and/or to permit a child to have oral and penetrative sex with her.”
