A family in Florida has more than 200 snakes, including reptiles that cuddle with the children as they sleep.

One family in Florida claims that snakes may become loving, cuddly friends. According to Socratis Christoforu,

Who told SWNS that he began studying and capturing snakes, even poisonous copperheads, at the age of six, he has always had a fondness for them.

Now, Socratis’s two kids, Arian, age 9, and Maximus, age 5, have inherited his love of pythons. SWNS reported that the family has converted their garage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, into a “serpentarium.”

Two dangerous snake species, boas, and pythons are among the 200 snakes kept in the refurbished area.

The family spends more than $1,000 on the critters every few months, and all of the reptiles are legally owned and well-cared for, Socratis told SWNS.
