Sentencing: A Torture Campaign
As of December 17, 2024, the court imposed severe penalties:
- Life in prison with at least 40 years in prison for Urfan Sharif
- Beinash Batool: life in prison with a minimum sentence of 33 years
- Faisal Malik faces 16 years in prison for causing or permitting a child’s death.
“The degree of cruelty involved is almost inconceivable,” said Justice Cavanagh, who called the abuse a “campaign of torture.”
