A finalist on Britain’s Got Talent is charged with raping two women.

The trial is ongoing.

A former finalist from Britain’s Got Talent, Andrew Johnston, is facing charges for alleged serious misconduct involving two women.

Johnston is currently on trial, accused of physically assaulting one woman and engaging in non-consensual behavior with another.

According to the BBC, the alleged incidents took place several years after Johnston appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

During one of the alleged incidents, Johnston is said to have placed his hands around a woman’s throat.

Back in 2008, Johnston, a former choirboy, finished in third place during the second season of the talent show at just 13 years old. He later secured a £1 million record deal with Simon Cowell’s label.

His album One Voice climbed to number five on the music charts. The former Britain’s Got Talent finalist, now a choir singer, is currently appearing in court.

At the time the accusations were made, Johnston was pursuing a two-year opera certificate at the Royal Academy of Music.
