Mutu followed the youngster, knocked her to the ground, and detained her until adults stepped in, according to Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister. Then the police were summoned.
When Mutu was questioned by sheriff’s officers, he reportedly said that his flat had been egged a few times lately and that he had attacked the girl as she happened.
To pass by because he thought she was the one responsible. On suspicion of violence and wrongful detention, Mutu was taken into custody and checked into the county jail.
“This child endured a terrifying and traumatic experience at the hands of someone who chose to take matters into his own hands,” Chronister said in summarizing the situation.
