After warning Secret Service officials, officers arrested DeCicco and charged him with written threats to kill or cause physical harm.
During his first court appearance, the judge told DeCicco to avoid Trump and ordered him to be jailed without bond.
Trump has already been the target of two assassination attempts, as was previously reported. In one of them, Trump was shot in the ear while delivering a speech at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in 2024. A Secret Service agent shot and killed Thomas Matthew Crooks, the suspect.
