according to the Coffee County School System. According to SI, it was the place and day set aside for the football squad of New Brockton High School to scrimmage against Barbour County.
In a Facebook post, the school extended an invitation to everyone “to come together” and “remember
the positive impact Semaj made on our community” as well as “to join us in celebrating the life of Semaj Wilkins and to honor his mother, Regena Adams.”
Additionally, the school system said that it would work with the Wilkins family to “assist with the funeral and burial expenses” by accepting payments in person and online.
