Prosecutors said during the preliminary hearing that Ma and her second victim, John Doe 2, exchanged a string of sexually explicit text exchanges.
According to NBC News, John Doe 2 informed authorities that he and Ma had made a “plan” for him to see her in her classroom in 2020.
The youngster claims that when he got there, Ma took off her blouse and tried to approach him, but he was scared and fled the room.
Ma was first accused in March 2023 with three charges of oral copulation with a minor and three counts of lewd and lascivious behavior with a minor. She entered a not guilty plea.
Deputy DA Hart described Ma as “obsessive, possessive, controlling, and dangerous” during a court appearance on March 13, 2023.
“Love letters addressed to the child were found in her classroom, she had jewelry bearing the victim’s initials, and she had a picture of the victim in her wallet when she was arrested,” Hart said.
