Since it opened in 1994, it has been referred to be “hell on earth” and has seen a high number of murders and suicides.
According to Combs’ attorney, “many courts in this District have recognized that the conditions at Metropolitan Detention Center are not fit for pre-trial detention,” while speaking about the horrors that take place within the facility.
