Vizcarro-Sanchez was sentenced to 60 years, the first 15 of which will be spent in prison, after entering a guilty plea to the unrelated offense of stealing computers from his place of employment.
Zachary was accused of raping another youngster in 2011, but the couple was still permitted to adopt their two sons, now ages 10 and 12.
Police were notified of the accusation, but prosecutors never looked into it in-depth enough to bring charges.
