West praised the positive impact that the community’s generosity has had on their lives, calling her son a “warrior”: “Every gift, donation, encouraging word, and prayer has put a smile on my son’s face!” she continued.
She posted again on social media a few days later, this time stating that her little child was home and doing well.
“After surgery, my son is recuperating wonderfully! After his second follow-up checkup on Tuesday, he could be able to return to school the following week!
He does occasionally have some difficult times, but all in all, he is in a pleasant mood,” she adds. He needed to remain elevated and sleep in a recliner when we first got home from the hospital.
But he can now sleep normally in his own bed. I cry not just because I’m sad and crazy, but also because I’m happy that my baby son will be okay!
