According to the Kent County Sheriff’s Office, the adolescent was said to have been seen bicycling by a “community member” who allegedly called 911.
Reportedly, the youngster willingly left her family home on May 31, 2024, the day after she was discovered. Prior to this, at around midnight on June 1,
she had been seen on video near a downtown pub. Local media was recently informed by investigators that Penny met the older guy at about 2 a.m. on June 1.
“He was a stranger,” the sheriff’s office revealed in a statement. From June 1, 2024, until yesterday, Penny resided in the man’s Rockford house.
