A man painted his boat on the fence after the municipal forced him to erect a fence around it.

“Boats and large pickup campers, motor homes, recreational vehicles, utility trailers, and vacation trailers” are prohibited from parking on driveways according to municipal rules unless.

They are “screened on the side and front by a six-foot-high fence.” Constable painted a photo-realistic mural of the boat on the front of the screen as a creative twist to his compliance.

“I’m not a rule-breaker, but I like to make a political statement as necessary as well as a humorous statement and a creative statement,” Constable said to KSBW.

Constable clarified that he has kept his boat, Might as Well, parked in the driveway for four years without getting any complaints, and that he often uses it for fishing.

“I thought, ‘This is ridiculous,’ and my first reaction was to leave a nasty, nasty message at the city hall,” he said in a Washington Post interview.
