SANTA ANA, CA A guy has been taken into custody on suspicion of murdering many animals in a Santa Ana neighborhood.
What we know: Alejandro Oliveros Acosta, 45, was attracting neighborhood cats to his home, where he injured or murdered them, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.
After serving a search warrant at this residence, detectives from Westminster and Santa Ana police discovered evidence connected to the crimes.
After being placed under arrest, Acosta was charged with criminal animal abuse. Residents in Orange County claim a guy is purposefully killing their pets in a previous article.
What they are saying: According to the Santa Ana Police Department, they have been receiving allegations about Acosta for a number of weeks. Two years have passed since some of the police complaints were made.
Earlier this week, locals informed FOX 11 that they had seen Acosta luring the cats with cat food. They have also saw him use a needle to inject a cat.
