Paul Alexander had a cheerful attitude despite his physical limitations, motivating everyone around him with his fortitude and tenacity.

When Philip Alexander said, “He never let his condition define him,” “He adapted to every challenge life threw his way.”

Paul Alexander was flexible in his scholarly endeavors. He received degrees from the University of Texas in law and Southern Methodist University in economics.

He even practiced law in Dallas after passing the bar test. Paul Alexander became the longest-living iron lung sufferer in history in March 2024, according to Guinness World Records.

Philip Alexander said, “He wouldn’t have made it this far without the unwavering support of our parents and close friends.”
