A Minnesota father kills a 77-year-old sexual offender who was stalking his daughter with a moose antler.

A Cook County sheriff’s deputy found Scully inside the building at around 5 p.m. on Wednesday. He was “surrounded by blood,” had “major head trauma,” and was “obviously dead.”

The father approached the police station with his head in his hands and covered in blood as he confessed to the crime. A medical examiner found that Scully had self-defense wounds on his arms.

Both neighbors contacted 911 to report the crime after seeing a van arrive at Scully’s property, destroy a vehicle, and then drive away. The witness claimed to have heard screams.

Scully was incarcerated in Minnesota at the age of 33 for the molestation of a six-year-old kid. He entered a guilty plea and was sentenced to 0–5 years in Bayport State Prison in Minnesota.

He remained incarcerated until December 31, 1981, when he submitted a post-conviction relief petition. The state had not shown any evidence that he would pose a danger to the public,
