A mother from Texas is accused of killing a 17-month-old girl by dropping her from a third-story hotel balcony.

Mercedes claims that although Channel “showed up to The Victorian, pushing a stroller,” as stated in the affidavit, she did not observe Hannah pushing the stroller.

Mercedes allegedly remembered that Channel told her not to go back to the Beach Front Palms Hotel after she was unable to locate her fiancé.

“Mercedes found it odd that Channel would say that and stated that Channel said ‘don’t go back to the hotel’ several more times,” the affidavit stated.

The document states that detectives located a trash bag in a rubbish can in the hotel’s underground parking garage, close to where Hannah’s body was recovered.

One of the officers claimed found a “skinning” knife, a key card for room 217, plastic beach toys, diapers, and unopened kid’s food in the bag.

According to the complaint, police claimed to have stolen surveillance tape from the hotel, which purportedly showed Channel pushing Hannah in a stroller and the toddler’s tragic fall.
