According to investigators, one of the children who survived also claimed to have seen Gibson “pour gasoline over the children and set them on fire.”
Queensland Police have been approached by Daily Mail Australia for comment. On Thursday, police stated that they thought Gibson would live, but they had not yet been able to question her because of her condition.
During a news briefing, Detective Superintendent George Marchesini stated, “We do know she will be in hospital for an extended period of time.”
Naturally, we would like to speak with everyone who was there; in fact, we have already done so with a few of the individuals who were at the residence and have since been discharged from the hospital.
“Talking to everyone, including the 36-year-old woman, is part of our investigation.”
