A Navy SEAL veteran was identified as the pilot of the helicopter that crashed in New York City, killing six people.

“The world has lost a wonderful friend and all-around wonderful person. He undoubtedly improved my life, and I simply want to honor his life and his way of living.

Godspeed, Amigo, a member of the BOOMER crew for eternity. Max, an eyewitness to the collision, told ABC News that he first heard the tragedy before saw the aftermath.

He stated: “I looked up after hearing what sounded like a sonic boom and saw a helicopter splitting in two. The rotor was flying off into the sky at such a high speed that it simply fell into the water.”

After that, nothing happened; it must have simply sunk. I stayed here until, about five minutes later, the police and other authorities began to arrive.

“I’ve never seen anything like that in my life.” “I just assumed it would be like city noise, like a crash, or maybe like a jet going overhead—I know that’s probably not common,” he added.

“But yeah, there was a huge explosion to my right, followed by a whoop whoop [copter sound] as the propeller seemed to lift off much higher than the helicopter and fall directly in the ocean.

“Maybe the tail split, but I’m not sure. However, I believe that the rotor split and the corpse fell directly into the sea,

Therefore the rotor must have experienced some sort of malfunction and just flicked off.” The National Transportation Safety Board is scheduled to investigate the collision.
