Her case was tried in Cumberland County when McKnight was elected to the Dauphin County bench in 2016.
After the Judicial Conduct Board claimed that McKnight had broken judicial probation related to a previous misconduct matter involving a traffic stop in 2020.
She was placed on unpaid leave in November 2023. She was exonerated of any criminal accusations, nevertheless.
