After declaring its third bankruptcy in five years, a popular family restaurant has shuttered a number of locations. Almost one-third of the locations of the Italian restaurant chain Bertucci’s,
Which is located in Massachusetts and is well-known for its family-friendly ambiance and brick-oven pizzas, have closed.
According to updates on its website, the firm recently closed four facilities in Braintree, Mansfield, North Andover, and Norwood, reducing its workforce from 14 to 10.
It just took home the 2024 Boston Pizza Festival’s People’s Choice Award. However, a number of eateries experienced financial strain after the company’s victory.
A sign outside the restaurant’s old Braintree site reads, “Thank you for your loyalty and support all these years.” It also directs customers to Hingham and West Roxbury branches that are still open.
