After being discovered unconscious in her Gainesville home on February 3, Jocelynn Rojo Carranza was admitted to Dallas’ intensive care unit for five days before she passed away.
According to a GoFundMe website, her family believes that Jocelynn’s constant bullying caused her to commit suicide because she was afraid that ICE would deport her family.
Grieving mother Marbella Carranza told the local Univision network, “The kids said that because your family is Hispanic, they were going to call ICE so her parents could be taken away and she would be left alone.”
The sixth-grader went to the school counselor to report the bullying, which the single mother of six claims continued for months.
