Nearly two years after his baby passed away in the hospital, the newborn’s father was charged with manslaughter.
On July 27, 2023, the 26-year-old male took the four-week-old boy to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital in New South Wales in severe condition, according to authorities.
After being sent to Sydney Children’s Hospital with several, inexplicable injuries, including fractured bones all over his body, the infant passed just three days later.
The Daily Telegraph named the Wagga Wagga native as the father of the infant and two other children on Friday.
When the baby boy arrived at the hospital in July 2023, Child Abuse detectives were alerted to his suspicious injuries and severe condition.
The man was taken into custody in Albury on Friday after Strike Force Wighton was formed to conduct the investigation.
