A student from North Carolina who wanted to work as a truck mechanic was slain while traveling to senior prom.

After deciding at the last minute that he wanted to attend prom in North Carolina, a teenager was murdered in a vehicle accident on Saturday.

The Charlotte Observer reported that 17-year-old Will Turner was scheduled to graduate from North Stokes High School in Danbury, North Carolina.

He intended to pursue a career as a diesel mechanic by enrolling in trucking school. Turner struck two trees in Stokes County.

After swerving off the road while operating a Ford Taurus, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. They stated that he was declared deceased at the site of the collision.
