According to a BBC update, 43 construction workers are thought to be missing after the 30-story structure fell, despite the fact that there were no initial reports of injuries.
According to a Facebook post from the National Institute for Emergency Medicine, seven employees were able to escape while forty-three others were still stuck.
“When I arrived to inspect the site, I heard people calling for help, saying help me,” Bang Sue district deputy police commander Worapat Sukthai told AFP.
At at 1:30 pm local time today (March 28), an earthquake shook Bangkok, causing sirens to go off and people to be evacuated into the streets.
Local sources state that the earthquake also caused the Ava Bridge in Myanmar to collapse. Another video shared on Twitter showed a rooftop pool in a Bangkok skyscraper splattering.
