Putin had no justification for launching missiles on towns, cities, and residential areas in recent days. In an angry post on
Truth Social today, the American leader said, “It makes me think that maybe he doesn’t want to stop the war, he’s just tapping me along, and has to be dealt with differently.”
Trump, who later returned to the United States with his wife Melania, stated that the United States needed to deal with the Kremlin “differently” through “secondary sanctions” and “banking.”
He said, “Too many people are dying!!!” in reference to the Russian military strikes on Kyiv last week, which destroyed many buildings and left 12 people dead.
A companion bill was approved by 25 Republicans and 25 Democrats in the Senate last week, raising the prospect of more sanctions against Russia.
