Mr. Endres committed this deliberate act, describing it as “essentially an act of vigilante justice.”
According to Endres’ criminal complaint, the families of Hansen and Endres shared a neighbourhood and “had a positive relationship until recently.”
Their children “played together regularly and were considered best friends.” They frequently carpooled.
Following an accusation of a “sensitive crime” involving Hansen’s juvenile son and Endres’ child, the relationship “changed drastically” in March.
After that, communication between the two families was prohibited. Endres asked the Cottage Grove Police Department for a copy of the police report on April 23.
Less than three hours before to the incident, he received the police report. At the scene of the collision, Endres reportedly told officers he was “having a bad day.”
He told hospital medical officials that he had been experiencing suicidal thoughts for the past month, but he also stated that he lost control of the car while traveling at 25 mph.
