Waters’ sister called every hospital in the area, but none of them had Snow on their list of patients, despite Marshall’s alleged assurance that her daughter was in the hospital.
Marshall was apprehended by police on March 23, 2023, in North Carolina, for neglecting a dependant.
She told detectives that on February 9, 2023, Waters entered the kitchen with Snow in tow and said she was unresponsive.
He said that in an attempt to rouse her, he submerged her in a cold bath, but she failed to awaken. While Marshall was attempting to dial 911, he allegedly “struck her hard enough to knock the phone out of her hands.”
He claimed to be taking her to the hospital. Waters allegedly “stated that he left her naked body in the woods” close to his grandparents’ house when he returned an hour and a half later with the blanket he had wrapped Snow in.
Marshall acknowledged driving with Waters to an abandoned house to dispose of her daughter’s body in a follow-up interview with detectives.
After bringing Snow’s body inside, Waters allegedly informed Marshall that he “put her inside or underneath a dresser.”
