Police filed an arrest warrant for Bestpitch when they found additional evidence. She was placed under arrest on April 11. She posted the $11,200 bond and was released from custody the next day.
Many people who responded on the Fox 5 Facebook page expressed their displeasure at the news of Bestpitch’s release.
“Thank goodness for cell phones in the hands of abusers and idiots,” one person wrote. They have genuinely saved countless lives and brought countless evil people to justice who otherwise would not have been found guilty.
Another person concurred, saying, “I don’t understand why this woman is out on bond.” She ought to be detained without bond.
The law would have to jail me rather than try her if this were my great-grandchild (my child and grandchildren are grown).
Although Bestpitch’s relationship with the child is unknown, her Instagram account, @_steampunk_princess_, claims to be a boy mom who is “living for myself.”
