An inspector was on his way to the funeral home to investigate reports of non-functioning air conditioning and insect infestations.

Scott Bingaman, executive of the Texas Funeral Service Commission, stated that his agency was notified of the videos at approximately 3 p.m. and called the police.

He said that 14 complaints had been filed against the business over the previous ten years, though he was unable to say how many of them were verified.

Harris County Precinct 7 Constable Smokie Phillips claimed he’s familiar with the funeral home’s owner and that he’s in the hospital after having a heart attack.

He claimed the owner agreed to allow other funeral companies take the dead to refrigerated rooms at their own businesses.
