The lawyer’s office claims that Johnson “admitted he fired a handgun four times from his Tahoe” and that he “felt disrespected” by Loffredo’s response.
Johnson stated on the witness stand that he “denied that he intended to kill her” and “fired at the ground to frighten her.” He “sped off in the vehicle,” the lawyer’s office said, following the shooting.
According to the announcement, “the victim and defendant had no prior connection.”
On July 29, two days after the shooting, Loffredo passed away from her wounds.
According to the Des Moines Register, she had just purchased some food and was walking home when the shooting occurred.
