After a car accident, a two-time diving champion died at the age of 18.

Maisey O’Donnell, a two-time state diving champion, was one of three high school seniors who perished in an automobile accident last week while on spring break in Florida.

On Monday night, an SUV carrying O’Donnell and three other people collided with a tractor-trailer that was doing a U-turn in the median on Highway 98 close to Panama City.

The SUV was thrown over the median by the force of the collision, and it eventually stopped in the adjacent woods.

Driver Jimmy McIntosh and passenger Hannah Wasserman, both Concord-Carlisle High School students, were declared dead at the scene.
