After a dump truck allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a group of utility workers, four people were killed and three injured.

Since then, friends have recalled the accident victims. Robert Russell, a friend of Matthew Lockwood, told Fox station WGHP that people “always felt fulfilled with him.”

According to the publication, Lockwood enlisted in the Marines and served in Iraq in 2018 before joining Carolina Power as a lineman. He loved his job.
