After a frantic two-month search, a 12-year-old girl has been located.

After being missing for 57 days, 12-year-old Maria Gomez-Perez was found safe, according to the police.

The 12-year-old Maria Gomez-Perez was last seen at her residence on Westside Drive in Hall County, Georgia, USA, on May 29 of this year.

Authorities from other states immediately began searching; the search lasted 57 days; and the 12-year-old was eventually found, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s office.

Alabama, Florida, Illinois, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas were all part of the search that the Hall County Sheriff’s Office conducted.

Help was provided by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), U.S. Homeland Security (HS), and the GBI.

One of the office’s spokespeople remarked, as reported by NewsNation: “The team is using resources including intelligence, translators, drones, crime scene investigators and simple determination to find clues.”
