After a frantic two-month search, a 12-year-old girl has been located.

Investigators from the Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) had’safely discovered and retrieved’ Maria that same evening, according to an update provided by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office yesterday (25 July).

The 12-year-old was discovered ‘in another state,’ but thankfully ‘is safe and OK,’ according to a news release uploaded on Facebook by the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.

“The best possible outcome has been achieved thanks to the tireless work of our CIB, law enforcement partners, and the community,” Sheriff Couch said. We were granted our wish for Maria’s safe homecoming.

The press announcement continued, saying, “Investigators are working to bring Maria home to Hall County.”

According to reports, authorities are still trying to figure out how the youngster went missing for over two months and how she got up in a different state. UNILAD is seeking a response from the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
