After a lady allegedly sent “poisoned Easter eggs” to her ex’s family as part of a “revenge” scheme, a 7-year-old boy died.

CCTV footage also seemed to show woman wearing a black wig to conceal her blond hair while purchasing the chocolate from the grocer.

Barbosa’s ex-boyfriend, with whom the officers also spoke, implied that she might have been engaged in the event.

Barbosa said to the police that although she had bought the chocolates, she had not tainted the eggs.

Police discovered two wigs, scissors, cards, a saw knife, and other chemicals in her possession in addition to the receipts.

According to Brazilian security official Maurício Martins, who spoke to the Standard, the alleged poisoning ‘was motivated by revenge and jealousy.’
