Many dog owners take pleasure in allowing their pets to lick them. Most people would consider it to be rather innocuous, even if it may not be the most sanitary item in the world.
However, when one lady had her limbs and legs amputated, veterinarians cautioned owners against endangering their health.
In 2019, Marie Trainer, a resident of Stark County, Ohio, came home from vacation with a minor cut on her hand.
When her dog gave her ‘kisses’ to welcome her home, she didn’t mind. But she became unwell soon after. It didn’t take long for things to become worse.
“Four days later, I wasn’t feeling well and just got sicker and sicker,” Marie stated in an interview with FOX News. Her husband Matt took her to the hospital, thinking she had the flu.
