After a man crashes into a group of Liverpool soccer supporters during festivities, authorities issue a statement.

It has been reported as of this writing that 20 individuals were treated on the spot and 27 people were sent to the hospital, with four children among the injured.

“I want to thank all of the emergency services, partner agencies, and members of the public who came to the assistance of the injured following this evening’s shocking incident, which we declared a major incident.”

She said during a press conference on Monday, referring to the incident as a “horrific incident.”

“With hundreds of thousands of people lining the streets to celebrate Liverpool Football Club’s victory parade, it had been a happy day in Liverpool.”

She went on to say, “Several people were hurt and taken to the hospital.” Furthermore, many individuals of various ages received on-site care but did not need hospitalization.
