After a man crashes into a group of Liverpool soccer supporters during festivities, authorities issue a statement.

According to Nick Searle, chief fire officer for Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service, firefighters rescued four persons.

Including a toddler, who were trapped beneath the vehicle that struck pedestrians during the Liverpool Football Club triumph parade in the city center.

“We immediately mobilized three fire engines to Water Street and were in attendance in four minutes,” he said at a news conference after his department was notified of the incident at 6:07 p.m. UK time on Monday.

When the workers arrived, they discovered a large number of injured and four people stranded beneath a car.

“Our crews quickly raised the car, took three adults and a child out from underneath, and handed them off to our colleagues in the ambulance service.”

“We subsequently collaborated with emergency service partners to guarantee that casualties were promptly treated and transported to the hospital.”
