In an effort to accuse the KCPD of concealing a murder, Merritt has gone to social media to mobilize his supporters.
He has reiterated the family’s assertion that Lamb was mercilessly shot and killed by law enforcement agents who were too eager to pull the trigger as he was obligingly working on cars in the backyard.
The allegation that Lamb was working on cars in the yard when he was shot has been repeatedly denied by the KCPD. Citing the official report, the department responded to Merritt’s tweet, “Fighting fire with fire.”
Merritt continued by urging the agency to make all of its conclusions in the Lamb case public and for the inquiry to be conducted with “transparency.”
Naturally, until the investigation is over, detectives are unable to reveal important information, leaving Lamb’s family with more questions than answers.
