In search of a tranquil escape from her past troubles, Hailey sets off on her journey. Her husband, whom she believed had died in an airplane crash, looks so much like a guy she sees in the grocery store that she is frightened.
For reasons of curiosity and, more importantly, since her whole fortune had mysteriously disappeared just before he was claimed to have died, Hailey hastened to see him.
The sun’s gentle touch on Hailey’s skin was immediately apparent as she stepped off the plane. She was finally getting away from the chaos at home and enjoying a much-needed vacation.
With a little smile on her face, she started her holiday by picking up some groceries. The local supermarket was only a short walk away, so she stepped out of her accomodation, hoping for a peaceful day ahead.
She shopped the aisles, her mind wandering to times when joy seemed more within reach on previous excursions. As she rounded the bend in the cereal aisle, she came to a sudden stop, her mind racing.
Her late husband, George, had an uncanny resemblance to the guy standing only a few feet away. In her chest, she felt a little skip. Because of his death, George was no longer a part of her life; he could not be it.
