After Alec Baldwin branded him a “scumbag” on “The View,” Elon Musk boldly paid $790 million to acquire the firm AB*C and canceled the program.

 

The extreme action comes after actor Alec Baldwin made a controversial remark in a recent episode of the program, calling Musk a “dickhead.”

In addition to SpaceX, Tesla, and his recent acquisition of X (previously Twitter), the acquisition represents Musk’s most recent.

Venture outside of the IT industry. Although specifics of Musk’s intentions are still unknown, analysts believe he made the acquisition in order.

tT challenge what he believes to be skewed media portrayals. Musk responded to the cancelation of The View in a statement sent soon after the announcement:

“Freedom of expression is important, but harsh and polarizing discourse has no place in productive discourse. This choice demonstrates my dedication to encouraging deep dialogue.

Alec Baldwin, a regular guest on The View, was blunt in his criticism of Musk during a contentious episode that sparked the dispute.
