After an autistic boy was allegedly shot nine times by police and left battling for his life, authorities released a statement.

The boy is struggling for his life after suffering severe injuries.

The police claim that on Saturday night, a neighbor noticed the teen, Victor Perez, rolling on the ground of his yard.

Alerting them to a disturbance at the family’s house in Pocatello, which is located just south of Yellowstone National Park.

Police thought Perez was brandishing a knife at a woman, who turned out to be his mother, when they got to the scene.
