Sir Laurie said in his report that he had not found any “suggestion of any unusual financial arrangements” or “evidence of improprieties.”
He said that there was “no evidence to suggest that the financial assets of Ms. Siddiq and/or her husband…derive from anything other than legitimate means.”
However, he was “unable to obtain comprehensive comfort in relation to all the UK property-related matters” due to a “lack of records and lapse of time.”
