IMPD Deputy Chief Kendall Adams said, “Officer Vilma was a great example of a young dedicated, committed, and courageous public servant.”
Vilma was assigned to the East District middle shift patrol upon her appointment on September 2, 2022. His parents, two sisters, and younger brother survive him. Vilma was thirty-two.
