After being placed on a Hollywood blacklist, Shia LaBeouf spoke about how his life altered.

The Even Stevens star made reference to the case in 2022 when appearing on the Real Ones with Jon Bernthal podcast, although he did not specifically mention his ex-partner.

“I hurt that woman,” said LaBeouf. “And I harmed a lot of other people in the process, including a lot of people before that lady.

I was a selfish, self-centered, dishonest, careless, scared, and pleasure-seeking individual. LaBeouf went on to say.

“Had she not intervened in my life and not created the avenue for me to experience ego death, I’d either have a really mediocre existence or I’d be dead in full.”

He informed Bernthal that in addition to completing the “long list of people that he needs to make amends to,” he also wanted to discover his “purpose” in life.
